Collection: The Mamluk

The Mamluk Collection is inspired by the powerful visual language developed under the Mamluk Sultanate, which ruled Egypt and the Levant from the 13th to 16th centuries. Originally slave soldiers who rose to become sultans, the Mamluks built a legacy defined by military strength, political sophistication, and a deep patronage of the arts. Their reign marked one of the most artistically vibrant periods in the region’s history.

Mamluk design is known for its clarity, control, and mathematical precision. From domes and manuscripts to carved panels and architectural stonework, geometry was treated not simply as ornament, but as a structured and expressive art. Twelve-pointed stars, complex rosettes, and interlacing angular forms were central to this visual tradition, combining structure with expressive detail.

Each piece in this collection draws from that legacy. Digitally crafted using premium wood filament and finished by hand, the designs reinterpret historic motifs with modern precision and care. The result is a set of bold, layered forms that honour the elegance of the past while offering a refined presence in contemporary interiors.
