The Alcazar Coaster Set

History

This six-piece set draws from the intricate geometry of the Alcázar of Seville, where centuries of Islamic, Christian, and Mudejar craftsmanship come together in harmonious design. Inspired by the richly patterned surfaces of Andalusian palaces, the collection celebrates a legacy where ornament was both structure and expression.

Design

Each of the five coasters features a variation on a twelve-pointed star, radiating through interlocking forms and angular symmetry. The compositions reflect the balance and rhythm found in carved ceilings, tilework, and lattice screens throughout southern Spain. Together, the designs create a visual dialogue that is both unified and dynamic.

Crafting & Finishing

Digitally modelled for precision and crafted with premium wood PLA, each piece is carefully shaped and hand-finished to sharpen crisp lines and reveal the depth of its interlocking geometry. Multiple protective coatings are applied to preserve the surface, enhance contrast, and ensure durability with a smooth finish suited to everyday use.
