History
This hexagonal wall hook blends everyday function with centuries-old design tradition. The pattern draws inspiration from the palaces of Al-Andalus, where intricate ornamentation transformed architecture into art. It is deeply influenced by Mudejar craftsmanship, a style developed by Muslim artisans working under Christian rule in medieval Spain. Known for its fusion of Islamic geometry and European forms, Mudejar design reflects a unique cultural dialogue expressed through balance, repetition, and detail.
Design
The hexagonal frame highlights a bold geometric composition with layered lines and angular symmetry, echoing the balance and rhythm seen in the carved ceilings, latticework, and tilework of southern Spain. The form creates a piece that feels both architectural and ornamental, complementing its functional purpose.
Crafting & Finishing
Digitally modelled for precision and crafted with premium wood PLA, each piece is carefully shaped and hand-finished to sharpen crisp lines and reveal the depth of its interlocking forms. Multiple protective coatings are applied to preserve the surface, enhance contrast, and ensure durability with a smooth finish.
