This six-piece set draws from the intricate ornamentation of the Ben Yusuf Madrasa in Marrakesh, a 14th-century centre of learning renowned for its architectural elegance. Restored under the Saadian dynasty, the madrasa is celebrated for its carved stucco, painted tilework, and cedar latticework. These details form a design language rooted in symmetry, repetition, and contemplative balance.
Each coaster features interlocking stars and angular forms arranged in a precise geometric composition. The pattern echoes the rhythms found in the madrasa’s walls and courtyards, where precision in design mirrored the rigour of scholarship.
Created with digital precision using premium wood filament and finished by hand, every piece is carefully sanded to highlight crisp lines and surface depth. Multiple protective finishes are applied to preserve texture, enhance contrast, and provide a durable matte surface suitable for everyday use.
The set includes five 90-millimetre square coasters, each ideal for warm and cold drinks up to 70°C, along with a matching base for organized storage. Together, they offer a quiet, practical tribute to one of Morocco’s most iconic spaces.
