This piece draws inspiration from the geometric ornamentation of the Ben Yusuf Madrasa in Marrakesh, one of Morocco’s most celebrated centres of learning and design. Built in the 14th century and later restored under the Saadian dynasty, the madrasa is known for its carved stucco, colourful tilework, and cedar latticework. Each element contributes to a visual language rooted in rhythm, symmetry, and reflection.
The pattern captures the spirit of that space through interlocking star forms and angular repetition. Designed within a compact frame, the composition is bold yet precise, echoing the quiet complexity of spaces built for study and contemplation.
Created with digital precision using premium wood filament and finished by hand, each piece is carefully sanded to sharpen its geometry and bring out its layered depth. Multiple protective finishes are applied to preserve the surface and enhance contrast, resulting in a durable matte appearance. Backed with multiple magnets, it brings a refined architectural accent to any magnetic surface.
